Could it be that we will hear later today that the East London Bus Group will be sold?
East London is currently owned by Macquarrie, following its take-over from Stagecoach in 2006. We learnt in June that Macquarrie was planning on a disposal. The $64,000 question is, who's buying? If I were a betting man, I'd say it was... no, surely not...

why don't you know???
McDonald's
Rotala, Nat ex (lol) Stagecoach, transdev, arriva, Veolia,
Whoever it is,I wonder if TUPE apply ?
TUPE won't apply as that is for when contracts change between companies.
i.e. Go-Ahead loose a lot of work to First say, and the staff transfer to First, to avoid them all being made redundant etc.
With someone buying ELBG, it won't be TUPE as it's just someone buying the company.
Who wil give me odds on Uncle Brian?
Given the recent changes for the worse in TfL-land concerning the amounts of money to be made, why would he go back in now ?
Guess it all depends what price he gets it for.
Thanks to 14.03 for the information on TUPE. Less staff on lower wages might also swing it...unions permitting of course.
I have just found out why its called "Roundabouts" clever :P
I'll buy it. Here are some washers and magic beans.
TUPE will apply.
The origins of Transfer of Undertaking Protection of Employment was to protect the employee in buyouts etc. Only from 2006 was the inclusion of 'contracts' included in TUPE law.
I know who it is. ;-)
There wouldn't be enough in it for Tesco surely?!
Roundabouts LOL ive only clocked on
