More on First/Truronian
It’s always a bit of a gamble posting here on speculation. Take Truronian. A trickle then a flood of people arrived here by googling ‘Truronian to sell’ or similar, then ‘Stagecoach to buy Truronian’ and then came ‘First to buy Truronian’.
The post-deregulation industry’s always been awash with rumour. But the Truronian sale possibility was significant in the number of hits it generated arriving here. And now we know… First is to buy, as announced yesterday.

And it certainly is causing some amusement, purely because the primary reason that Truronian has grown so large is the constant downsizing of the First operation in Cornwall.
Marc Reddy certainly seems to have the backing of the top brass at First if he managed to convince them that this was a good acquisition for the group !!
Presumably First didn't want one of the other 'big boys' buying Truronian, and getting a foothold in their patch!
Probably a case of the 'lesser of two evils' for First.
Some kind of insect infestation? The lesser of two weavils...
