Congratulations to Transdev Yellow Buses for continuing its good practice in giving advance notice of its service changes. In fact, glance through TYB’s website and as you scan the news archive you realise just how proactive a company it is with its information. An example to others?
Anyway, yesterday saw TYB’s new timetables available to the general public, two weeks ahead of its planned 22 July 2007 changes. There were no surprises, at least to those in the know, but mainly because the changes had been covered if not ad absurdum then certainly in some detail in the press.
With a bus every 7-8 minutes on the most direct Bournemouth-Christchurch corridor, with 12 buses an hour between Bournemouth and Westbourne, more buses along the Christchurch road east of Boscombe (1a plus 2a/2b/2c) and every 10 minutes to Castlepoint, TYB has a timetable that will again ratchet up the competition with Wilts & Dorset.
