It is worth recording that one of deregulation’s oddities came to an end today at 1400 hrs, with the purchase by Go Ahead’s Solent Blue Line of Marchwood Motorways. Marchwood operated significant bus services franchised by Solent Blue Line (18/18A, 19/19A (Millbrook-City-Thornhill up to every 10 minutes) & 30-2/32B (Southampton-Calmore up to every half hour) and as such was a long standing and unusual feature of the deregulated bus scene.
