Linda Howard of First Student, First Group’s yellow school bus initiative, said in this week’s Coach and Bus Week, “In the UK there are more regulations for the carriage of farm animals than for the carriage of children.” No doubt she’s done her homework. It’s often said that smaller operators blame an increasing amount of bureaucracy as one reason for leaving the industry. And, there’s more promised.
