Have you ever worked in, or spend time behind the counter of, a bus inquiry office? Just like a bus driver, you see life. Here’s some genuine questions with which staff up and down the land can easily indentify:
Q: When’s the last bus to Parkstone?
A: 2300.
Q: Are you sure there’s nothing later?
A (with fixed smile): Sorry. (Under breath) I would’ve told you if there was.
Q: I left my handbag on the bus. Have you got it?
A: Which bus?
Q: The number 165.
Q: May I have a timetable?
A: Hold on while I get one from the back… here it is.
Q: Thanks. Can I have one for my friend?
Q: Can you tell me how I can get to Corfe Mullen?
A: Where are you travelling from?
Q: Home.
